Divine Feminine,  Wheel of the Year

31 Days Of Creative Samhain Day 25: Working With Dark Goddess Hecate

Dark Goddess Hecate is sometimes called the Goddess of Witches. She is a very powerful goddess for pagans and witches to work with during Samhain. Hecate is a Greek Goddess of earth, sea, and sky. She is a Crone and Triple Goddess.

Hecate is found in the underworld, doorways, borders, and crossroads at night. She is a goddess to seek guidance during this liminal season of Samhain if you find yourself at a crossroad in your life. You can visualize being at the crossroads and ask for her to guide you in making the right decision. What path is the right one for you to take right now? Hecate also offers you protection on this new journey and during this dark time of year. Hecate assists you in any magical workings.

Hecate is symbolized by the dark moon, a pair of torches, black dogs, owls, spinning wheel, and keys.

Dark Goddess Hecate is the keeper of keys to unseen worlds and spins her wheel of time. She can help you see deeper in your Samhain divination.

Hecate also oversees childbirth, while also being connected to ghosts, speaking to the dead, and graveyards. Her connection between life and death, the living and the underworld, makes her very connected to Samhain. You can ask her for guidance to communicate with ancestors and your beloved dead this Samhain season.

Creatively ask Hecate to guide you to create art that helps you see more clearly with her keys this dark time of year. Perhaps you want to know more about the crossroads you are at, or what she divines for you from her spinning wheel. Working with these rich images of inspiration she offers as a Dark Goddess, can lead you to deeper wisdom through your creative work. Drawing or painting Hecate’s keys, wheel, owl, or crossroads for example can be a powerful way to connect more deeply to her.

May Dark Goddess Hecate guide you on your path into the New Year this Samhain.
